Persephone slipped in at the back of the audience just in time to see Dionysos disappear. Aphrodite in her outrageous ruby confection didn’t seem to notice at all. She rose from her pillows and made her languid way to the front of the runway as the honeyed queen of the ancient fruit of seduction. She was oblivious to everything except her own erotic glory and the adoration of her public.
